The PEM1000 is compact, self-contained, 9-pin device, providing a 1500V isolation DC-DC converter, with IEEE 802.3af compliant signature recognition, and requiring minimal external components. It is a complete POE PD (Powered Device) solution in a single package with emphasis on small size, low cost, flexibility, and ease of use.

The device is available in DC output voltages of 3.3V, 5V or 12V. The compact size of 51mm length x 14mm height x 16mm thickness provides an outstanding combination of features and allows for extremely efficient use of the mother board area, resulting in significant savings is system size, cost, and time to market.

The IEEE802.3af compliant signature circuit of the PEM1000 ensures inter-operability with any IEEE 802.3af compliant PSE (power sourcing equipment) midspan or hub or switch.
