Planet Networking & Communication already have a substantial range of switches, hubs, injectors and splitters - over 40 products across the range - and now they've added an extra level of independence with the BSP-600 Solar Power System.

The system provides 2x IEEE802.3af PoE ports at 15.4W each, ideal for an IP camera and a wireless transceiver and making this an excellent solution where no other cabling or power source is practical.

Based on a high-efficiency 600W Li-ion battery (12.8Ah) and a 150W solar panel, the system has more than enough power for full 24 hour operation. Battery life is expected to be up to 3 years and the system is weatherproof to IP66 and operational from -20 to +55degC.
