In 1984 DSP Design designed it first single board computers. In the years since then DSP Design have been at the forefront of innovative design. Specialising in low power consumption solutions, the company has grown to be one of the largest UK single board computer designer and manufacturers.
The depth of technical understanding of embedded operating systems is unrivalled. Working with Microsoft, and being appointed "Microsoft embedded Partner of the Year 2004", DSP Design have secured a reputation of providing a very powerful and easy to use development package for users of Windows XP embedded and CE.NET. These systems are used by hundreds of companys world wide as well as many training companies.
DSP Design has also provided many thousands of systems that are using Linux, QNX and many other operating systems. The range of applications is very wide from simple access control systems to complex military guidance systems.
The new generation Power over Ethernet products use the experience of many years to combine DSP Designs low power technology with a POE interface to produce a low power consumption, high performance touch screen PC. Using Microsoft Windows XP embedded operating system and solid state disks the POET6000 is a totally silent operation unit without rotating disks or fans. These factor help to make the unit have a very small profile.
DSP Design has also been appointed as a distributor for Inova Display Systems to sell their On-Time Power over Ethernet Digital Clock. This high brightness clock has 4 inch (10cm) numerals that are visible from 150 feet (50m). The clock is fully IEEE802.3af compliant and the time is set automatically by SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol).
